does it work with renting a vacation home?
Renting vacation homes has
become a great lodging option for customers across the
United States. Our Reservation Agents are here to assist
you with all your questions. They want to help you find
your dream vacation homes. We take pleasure with
assisting you with all your needs.
What
does Gold Star offer?
Gold Star Vacation Homes
offers vacation homes, condos and town homes. Condos and
town homes have 2 to 4 bedroom units with a community
pool. Vacation homes have 3 to 7 bedroom with a private
pool. Our homes can accommodate up to 16 people
depending on the number of bedrooms.
What is
the economical advantage of a vacation home vs. hotel
room?
Vacation homes offer a
substantial savings compared to a hotel. Just imagine
being able to a 3 bedroom private pool home for less
than the price of a hotel room. This would accommodate 8
people. This size home can even be shared by 2 families
for even more of a savings in our
Orlando Vacation
Home.
What is
the difference between renting a home directly from a
Homeowner or a Property Management Company?
The major advantage is
that a Property Management Company manages the home and
provides guest services. A Property Management Company
also provides after hour emergency services. Individual
Homeowners are responsible for the upkeep on their home
and usually do not offer any type of guest services or
customer service. Many of the Homeowners live overseas
and may not be able ensure the same services as a
Property Management Company.
Is this
a Timeshare?
Absolutely not! We do not
have any affiliations with timeshares.
Do you
offer group rates?
Yes, we discount
reservations based on the number of homes booked. Please
ask a Reservation Agent for more details.
How
many people can be in each home?
The State of Florida has
occupancy laws as follows:

Are the
pools heated?
Pool heat is an additional
daily fee.
Do you
have wheelchair/ handicap accessible?
We have access to
wheelchair accessible homes. They are based on
availability. Please inform your Reservation Agent at
the time of your reservation.
Do you
have homes for hearing impaired?
We have a special smoke
alarm for the hearing impaired. The smoke detectors have
to be requested in advance at the time of booking. There
will be an additional deposit required to reserve.

Will I
have internet access?
Many of the homes have
internet access, but are based on availability. If you
are requesting internet access, please speak to a
Reservation Agent.
What is
each home equipped with?
Is there a telephone in the home?
Yes, all local calls are
free. You may want to purchase a calling card if you
plan to make long distance calls.
Do you
allow pets? If so, what size & how many?
Yes, we do allow pets. We
have a limited number of Pet Friendly homes and it is
based on availability. The non-refundable pet fee is
$100.00. You may have 1 pet that cannot exceed 40 lbs.
What
supplies are provided?
You will be supplied with
your first round of supplies (ex: trash bag, toilet
paper, ect), but you will be required to replenish items
for yourself once you run out. You may want to bring
your own soap, toothpaste, hair dryer, ect.
Is
there daily cleaning/maid service?
No, your home is cleaned
prior to your arrival and after your departure. You may
request a clean during your stay for an additional fee.
What is
your smoking policy?
All of our homes are
non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outside the property
only.
How
close are your properties to Disney World and other
major attractions?
Our properties are located
about 15-20 minutes from most major attractions
including Disney.
What is
required to reserve a vacation home?
Once you are ready to
confirm, you may either book online or speak to a
Reservation Agent at our TOLL FREE: -866-998-7457. Gold
Star requires a $250.00 deposit to reserve a home. You
balance will be due 30 days prior to your arrival date.
Is my
deposit credited toward my final balance?
Yes, your deposit will be
credited toward your final balance.
Do I
have to secure a deposit at check in?
There will be an
authorization hold only. Your credit card will only be
charged if there any damages and/or stolen property.
What is
your cancellation policy?
Your deposit of $250.00 if
fully refundable providing you cancel no later than 30
days prior to arrival. Thereafter, your deposit will be
forfeited.
Can I
change my dates of travel after the reservation has
already been confirmed?
Yes, but all changes are
based on availability and season. For example, if you
originally had a reservation for the off peak season and
then re-book for the holiday season, there will be an
increase in your nightly rate. There is no penalty to
change your travel dates providing it has been completed
30 days prior to arrival.
Are
there any cleaning fees?
A one time cleaning
departure fee is charged for all stays less than 5
nights. If you stay more than 5 nights, there will be no
cleaning fee.
Are
there any other fees that I should be aware of?
There is a $25.00 damage
waiver fee. Since we do not charge your credit card a
security deposit, we require a damage waiver fee. Your
credit card will only be charged for any damages and/or
stolen property.
Is
there a minimum nightly stay?
There is a 3 night minimum
stay.
How can I be sure to find the right vacation home for
me?
Our Reservation Agents are
here to assist you with all your needs. If you need any

How do
I make a secure reservation?
The process is quite
simple. You may book online and a confirmation will be
sent within 24 hours. You may also call our office and
book over the telephone.
If I
have a questions or concern during my stay, can I call
for assistance?
Yes, there will always be
a contact phone number for you. After normal business
hours, there will also be an emergency contact for any
emergencies that may arise outside normal business
hours.
When is
check-in & check out?
Check in is 4 p.m. and
check-out is 10 a.m. The homes usually take hours to
prepare for the next guest and take more time than a
hotel room. You may request an early check in for an
additional fee, but it will be based on availability.
Where
do I check-in once I arrive in Orlando?
You will receive
directions to the check-in office by email approximately
14 days prior to your arrival. The direction will be
from the Orlando International Airport. You may need to
Map quest directions if you are driving from another
destination.
What
things am I responsible for when I check out?
You will be required to
return the key. We ask that you leave the home in good
condition. You are not required to wash any bedding or
do any major cleaning prior to departure.
Do you
offer discounted tickets to any of the Theme Parks such
as Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld?
We are affiliated with KGS
Guest Services. They are one of the top selling
companies for attraction tickets. KGS has been in
business for over 10 years and offers a wide variety of
services. Ticket delivery to your home is free. Best of
all, when you purchase your tickets in advance you will
never have to wait in line to purchase tickets once you
arrive at the park. The tickets are discounted.
Is
there nearby shopping & restaurants?
Yes, there are shopping
centers, groceries stores and restaurants within just
minutes from your home.

to 9:00 p.m. 7 days of week.
